Founded in 2004, the Lake of Stars Malawi Arts Festival has grown to become one of Africa's most renowned cultural events. Each year, it attracts thousands of festival-goers from around the world, offering a unique blend of music, dance, theater, film, and visual arts.

Terms and Conditions

1. Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE. 2. Drive safely, don’t drive under the influence of toxic substances. The festival organisers will not be liable for any damage or other faults incurred while travelling to and from the festival. 3. There is no refund for lost tickets/wristbands. Any wristbands found tampered with, removed and/or damaged will be void and participation in the festival will be revoked. 4. Right of admission reserved. 5. Children under 12 years enter free accompanied by parents or guardians. 6. Alcoholic beverages must not be brought on the festival site or car park. These will be confiscated by security and authorities. 7. You may be subject to a search on entry to the event. 8. The festival organisers reserve the right to change the programme of acts at the festival without prior consent. Notification will be made simultaneously. 9. Sexual harassment, gender-based violence, misdemeanor, anti-social behavior and abuse will not be tolerated. If you are concerned about anything you experience or witness, speak to our safeguarding officer, security and police nearby. Do not confront any conflict situation. 10. Leave no trace - please keep the site clean and tidy and recycle where possible. Participate in the festival waste management initiatives and activities onsite. 11. The festival organisers will not be liable for any loss of enjoyment or profit nor any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages, arising due to force majeure. 12. The festival organisers will not be liable for any misrepresentations, negligence, contractual or torturous loss of any kind suffered by you, from the products or services, or actions of any venue, performer, promoter or other. 13. Parking is managed by the local community, and all proceeds go directly to supporting community projects. Additionally, gratuity for parking outside the festival venue premises is to be paid to the local police. The festival organisers are not responsible for any incidents or liabilities related to parking. Park at owners' risk. 14. Swimming within the festival area is entirely at your own risk. The festival organisers shall not be held liable for any accidents, injuries, loss of life, or incidents occurring. Do not swim after dark. 15. These terms are governed by Malawi Law.
